The Solar PV Site Surveyor Course is designed to train learners in assessing and evaluating sites for efficient solar photovoltaic installations. It covers site measurement, shading analysis, orientation and tilt assessment, structural suitability, and basic electrical. . Since 1991, Solar Energy International (SEI) has trained over 100,000 people in renewable energy — more than any other organization in the field. Our instructors are working professionals and NABCEP-certified experts who bring real-world experience into every course. It was established under the Solar Training and Education for Professionals (STEP) funding program in 2016 and is administered by The Solar Foundation. It all starts with the fundamentals, and a solid understanding of various components, system architectures, and applications for PV systems. This includes analyzing factors such as solar radiation, weather patterns, shading, and the condition of the roof or ground space to determine the best placement. . This stage involves gathering the critical property data required to build an accurate solar PV site survey report format that prevents costly change orders later.
